Tbone seems to always start out as some really goofy, rough sketches, and usually ends up in some sort of "short-hand" art that only I can read or understand.
This fast-pace storyboard came to me right before I turned out the lights to go to bed (I think I even had my "eyes" out and had to pull out the coke-bottle glasses to even see the big yellow tablet in front of me and find a pen).
What you see here is a big scribble-mess, but, I know EXACTLY what I want to say, what the background looks like, the characters, the colors, all of it. It is just all smashed in my brain, bursting to get out. I just need to get the pen, to put it down fast, before I forget anything.
After much time playing around with the storyboard, frame by frame, those scribbles turn into something like this (with a little magic of the digital tablet)...
...which is really sweet. To me, nothing is complete until it's in color. Without color, it is like the art is "half-baked" to me.
This is from comic #58, getting all spoofed up to be ready for Easter :)
